Bone Fragments, Shoe Soles and Burned Clothes Outside Rancho Izaguirre: Jalisco Searchers Say They Kept a July 30 Find Quiet — and That the Masked ‘CJNG Hitman’ on Italian TV Had Sent Them Tips

The search collective that first exposed Rancho Izaguirre in Teuchitlán, Jalisco, says it found human remains on land just outside the ranch on July 30, 2026, and did not make the find public until now. Founder Indira Navarro also said the masked man who told Italian TV he burned 250 people there is real, and had sent the group anonymous messages. Meganoticias reported this on Oct. 14 and Infobae México on Oct. 15. Their account came a day after Mexico’s federal Attorney General’s Office (FGR) called the man’s claim “false.”
What the searchers say they found
Navarro told El Occidental, as cited by Infobae, that Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco returned to the area on July 30. On a plot outside the ranch, she said, they found bone segments, shoe soles and insoles, keys and burned clothing. She said FGR experts collected the items and added them to the case file. Neither outlet gave a count of the remains. The find has not been confirmed by the FGR.
The outlets gave different reasons for the silence. Meganoticias said Navarro cited the Army and National Guard guarding the area. Infobae quoted the collective as saying it kept quiet because it “seguíamos confiando en que darían la cara y dijeran la verdad” (“we still trusted that they would face us and tell the truth”). The collective also said on X that it had not been told of the investigation’s progress.
Navarro said drone footage showed overgrown vegetation, suggesting no work was under way at the site, according to Infobae. In a Milenio interview posted Oct. 14, collective member Raúl Servín said that on July 25 they found no one working inside, only National Guard troops outside.
Milenio’s interview with Servín:
“That video is real”
“Ese video sí es real. Nosotros tenemos conocimiento porque esa misma persona nos dio algunos mensajes anónimos,” Navarro told Meganoticias (“That video is real. We know because that same person gave us some anonymous messages”). She said protected witnesses are willing to testify publicly and some have already appeared before a judge. The man’s identity and his claimed tie to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) have not been independently verified.
The official version
The FGR said on Oct. 14 that forensic processing of the ranch is 92% complete and that 15 people “possibly related” to the site have been brought to trial. It described the ranch as a training camp. Being charged is not a conviction, and all defendants are presumed innocent.
