Drugs Hidden in Steel Structures on Flatbed Trailers: 6 Indicted in Baltimore After Raids Net 140+ Kilos of Cocaine, 10 Kilos of Fentanyl and $1.3 Million

By The Narco Blog · September 24, 2026

Federal prosecutors say a Baltimore drug supplier received large drug shipments hidden inside steel structures hauled on flatbed trailers. Six people have been indicted, and investigators say raids in May turned up more than 140 kilograms of cocaine, about 10 kilograms of fentanyl and about $1.3 million. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland announced the indictment on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026.

Who is charged

The release names George Robinson, 58, of Baltimore; Shane Green, 50, of Baltimore; Shawn Hearn, 53, of Baltimore; Cori Grant, 47, of Baltimore; Vanessa Dancy, 59, of Baltimore; and Angela Pugh-Smith, 61, of Dayton, Ohio. All six are charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. Robinson also faces three counts of possession with intent to distribute. Grant, Green, Hearn and Pugh-Smith each face one such count.

What prosecutors allege

According to the release, the DEA began investigating in September 2025 after learning of Robinson’s reputation as “a well-known, large-scale drug supplier in Baltimore.” Prosecutors say confidential sources told investigators that Robinson used several legitimate businesses of his to launder money. Those sources estimated he obtained 50 to 150 kilograms of cocaine at a time.

Prosecutors say investigators watched Robinson receive large drug shipments hidden inside steel structures on six occasions between October 2025 and May 2026. According to the release, the steel structures were packed in crates, loaded onto flatbed trailers and delivered to two Baltimore warehouses. There, Robinson allegedly unloaded the drugs and hid them. Prosecutors also allege that drug money was packed into the same crates and steel structures and shipped back to his supplier. The release does not name the supplier or say where the shipments came from.

The May raids

On May 6, law enforcement searched Robinson’s home, the warehouses, a laundromat and other places linked to members of the group, according to the release. Investigators seized more than 140 kilograms of cocaine, about 10 kilograms of fentanyl, about $1.3 million, firearms, drug-packaging supplies and dozens of cellphones.

If convicted, the defendants face at least 10 years and up to life in federal prison. The DEA, FBI, U.S. Marshals Service and Baltimore Police Department investigated the case. An indictment is an accusation, not a finding of guilt. All six defendants are presumed innocent.
