Tenexpa was approaching its Independence celebration when the news changed the community’s plans: content creator Emerson Rey and his father had been killed. By the following day, the local festivities were canceled, according to Quadratín Guerrero.
The reported killings occurred on September 14 in Tenexpa, a community in the Guerrero municipality of Tecpan de Galeana. Uno TV reported the deaths the next morning. What followed was a public response in the same place Rey had featured through his work.

Its September 15 account said no arrests had been reported at that point. That is the status described in that dated report, not a claim that no later development has occurred.
A story still circulating days later
El Blog del Narco featured the killings on September 19, several days after the deaths and the canceled festivities. The later post brought the same case back into circulation; it did not describe a separate attack.
For now, the clearest account follows the reported deaths, the local cancellation and the investigation described afterward. The cited reports do not establish who ordered the attack or why. Those unanswered questions remain alongside the two deaths and the interruption to public life in Tenexpa.
